Season Five?

Should I really start writing The Drop: Season Five right now? Over the weekend, I finished my pass through Season Four and now The Wife is reading it. I value her feedback as the first reader of my books and she usually finds a few typos along the way. When she’s done I’ll go through it again, this time reading it aloud to nail down flow and consistency. In the meantime, what to do? Yesterday morning I went back through the previous books in the series and summarized some important info I need to write the next book. I’m sure there are some other things I could do, like entering Assignment Day into more contests, marketing ideas for all the books, etc. The problem in doing those things is that I’ve got the start of the book in my brain and I like to strike while the proverbial iron is hot. I don’t know that I’m ready to write the whole thing yet, especially since I have Season Four to release next month, but at least I can start getting these ideas in motion.
