The Drop: Season Four

The Drop: Season Four is now out! I finished the paperback formatting Tuesday evening and put it online, followed by the ebook version shortly after. At some point in the next few weeks I’ll add the audiobook. This is the eleventh book I’ve published and fourth this year. How does it feel? Better. I feel like I’m getting better at this writing thing, although I’ll leave the final judgment to the readers. I’ve done a few things with Season Three and now Season Four that I never thought I’d be able to pull off from writing and literary standpoints. What are those? You’ll have to read the books to find out. Or I’ll probably talk about them here someday. Meanwhile, the other thing I can say about publishing eleven books is that it’s a good start. Not trying to be modest, just saying I have lots of stories in me and many more books to go. I’ve said here before the reason I came up with The Drop is to put a series out there that can pull people in and they can binge it like a show on one of the streaming services. What I really hope is that people enjoy it and say, wow, that was a lot better than I thought it would be. How many seasons of The Drop can you expect? I’m thinking at least ten. If the stories are still going strong, maybe more. It’s also a universe where I could fill in stories between seasons or create a spinoff or two. Who knows what the future holds? For now, I’m happy the book is available for people other than me to read.
