Lull

October brought with it a sales lull. Not sure why. First and Next Time dropped to their lowest sales in a few years, which is odd since the advertising continues to max out every weekend. Maybe it was just the month? Good news is that putting the first four seasons of The Drop into a boxed set seems to be working. Like I said several weeks ago, I like all the pretty colors on the Kindle Unlimited (now Kindle+) chart that shows which books people are reading. I know I need to find some alternative advertising methods to drive sales and this seems to be the time to do it. I’ve been running an Amazon ad for Assignment Day, but the results there have been about as effective as a speed limit sign at the Indianapolis 500. I used Grok to piece together a strategy for ads and it came up with that Amazon campaign, showing that AI is great but it can’t guarantee results. Time to branch out on the advertising front and I’ll keep you updated.
